‘My Story Lounge’ is an online publication dedicated to sharing the real-life stories of individuals who have achieved remarkable success, triumphed over tragedy, pioneered innovative changes, made historic decisions, experienced tremendous suffering, encountered the surreal, undergone the unthinkable, celebrated amazing milestones and so on.
Why we do what we do
We love to hear real-life stories of people just as much as we love to share them. There is so much we can learn from a single individual, let alone a range of individuals with different backgrounds and life stories to share. All we are doing is turn our passion into reality to benefit our readers.

By telling these stories, we give our readers new perspectives, spark inspiration, drive motivation and provide meaningful insights into how we can enrich our own lives and the lives of those around us.

Jim Al-Khalili is a quantum physicist, author and broadcaster and one of the best-known science communicators in Britain. He holds a Distinguished Chair in Physics at the University of Surrey where he teaches and conducts his research. ![]()

In 1989, he received a PhD in nuclear theory and has since published over 100 research papers. He is also an author of twelve books on popular science, between them translated into over twenty-six languages![]()

Being regularly featured as a presenter of TV science documentaries and the long-running Radio 4 programme, The Life Scientific, has made him the go-to public science figure in the UK. Furthermore, he is a recipient of the Royal Society Faraday medal, the Institute of Physics Kelvin Medal and the Stephen Hawking Medal. ![]()
